A picture paints a thousand words and illustration is mainly used to convey a message either as a stand alone image or to complement written text. Book illustrations can instantly bring a story to life, a diagram or map is a helpful visual aid. I like to experiment with a variety of mediums, I mainly use paint but also like working in pen and ink, pencil, pastels, charcoal and scraperboard. I can also use Photoshop & Illustrator to produce digital artwork.
