Ceramics

I used to love making models with plasticine as a kid. When I got the opportunity to work as an Arts & Crafts Assistant in a clay room with a kiln, I made lots of things from sculptures to pots and loved every minute of it.

I enjoyed working in the ceramics department as a student at Edinburgh College of Art. I’d bought a bag of porcelain and continued making porcelain figurines after college and they kindly let me fire them in their kiln. Unfortunately they closed the Ceramics department at ECA and because dry clay is very fragile and I don’t have ready access to kiln, I didn’t make anything for years. However, I have been using air clay recently to make models and I still enjoy working with clay whenever I get the chance.
